November is the month the UAE fully wakes up. Temperatures have dropped to the 25–30°C range, the build-up to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (4-6 December) brings energy to Yas Island, and both cities start filling up with visitors from the Northern Hemisphere escaping their autumn. Hotel rates are rising toward December peak but remain below the Christmas–New Year high.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit: Tickets, Hotels and the Race Weekend Logistics
The Formula 1 season finale at Yas Marina Circuit is the UAE’s single biggest annual event for international tourism. The 2026 race weekend runs 4-6 December (practice Friday 4th, qualifying Saturday 5th, race Sunday 6th), so it falls in December, not November; see our Abu Dhabi in December guide.
Tickets: General grandstand from approximately AED 600. Marina stands (the iconic floating pontoons above the pit straight) from approximately AED 2,500–5,000. VIP suite packages from approximately AED 8,000–25,000 per person.
Hotels during Grand Prix weekend: Yas Island hotels (W Abu Dhabi, Yas Hotel, Yas Island Rotana) sell out and charge 3–5x normal rates. Many visitors stay in Abu Dhabi city hotels or Dubai (90 minutes away) and travel to the circuit on race day.
Booking: Tickets go on sale around January for the early-December race. Popular grandstands sell out within days. Check the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix website directly.
Abu Dhabi city hotel tip: If you are not attending the Grand Prix, downtown Abu Dhabi hotels can drop unexpectedly during Grand Prix weekend - all the demand shifts to Yas Island, leaving city hotels with availability at good rates.
Grand Prix, Abu Dhabi Art and Global Village in Full November Swing

Jebel Jais Zipline, Liwa Overnight Camp and Fujairah Diving at Their Annual Best
November is the best month for doing everything. Desert safaris, beach days, city sightseeing, hiking in Ras Al Khaimah, and outdoor dining are all optimal.
Hiking Jebel Jais (Ras Al Khaimah): mountain trails are excellent in November with temperatures around 18–22°C at altitude. The Jebel Jais zipline (approximately AED 600) is popular on weekends - book ahead.
Diving Fujairah: November water temperatures around 27–28°C with visibility reaching 12–18 metres. One of the best months for east coast diving.
Desert overnight camping: November overnight desert temperatures of around 16–18°C make camping genuinely comfortable. Premium Liwa Oasis overnight safaris run approximately AED 500–800 per person including dinner.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (Abu Dhabi): free entry; open to non-Muslim visitors most hours except prayer times. November’s clear light makes this particularly good for photography.

Hiking shoes if visiting Ras Al Khaimah mountains, where overnight temperatures can reach 10–12°C. A compact umbrella is worth packing - the UAE’s minimal rainfall peak falls in November through February.
