We built The UAE Guides because we couldn't find the kind of UAE travel guide we actually wanted to read — honest, specific, and written by people who'd spent real time in the country rather than breezing through Dubai on a layover.

Everything on this site comes from first-hand experience. We say "we" throughout — this is a collective voice built on genuine time spent across the UAE's seven emirates, from the skyscrapers of Dubai to the mountains of Fujairah and the dunes outside Liwa.

What you'll find here

Practical information written without filler. No "nestled" or "hidden gems". We'll tell you exactly how to get somewhere, roughly what it costs, and whether it's actually worth the trip. The UAE is heavily marketed — we try to cut through that.

Coverage

We cover all seven emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain. Desert guides, luxury hotel breakdowns, food guides, practical visa and transport information, and city-by-city itineraries.
