Best Hotels in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s hotel stock has grown rapidly alongside the emirate’s cultural ambitions. The concentration along the Corniche offers sea views and central access. Yas Island has become a self-contained resort area with multiple hotel brands clustered around the theme parks and the Formula 1 circuit. Saadiyat Island hosts some of the emirate’s most design-forward properties near the cultural district.

Corniche Area

The Corniche is the most logical base for visitors focusing on cultural sightseeing — the Heritage Area, Qasr Al Hosn, and the Corniche promenade itself are all within reach.

Rotana Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi (Mid-range, from AED 420/night): Directly on the Corniche with a private beach and multiple pools. Solid value for the location with consistent service standards.

Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri (Luxury, from AED 900/night): Set on a private beach and marina south of the Corniche near the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The location is exceptional — a 10-minute walk from the mosque. Multiple restaurants, an excellent spa, and a large private beach.

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental (Ultra-Luxury, from AED 1,800/night): The most opulent hotel in Abu Dhabi, and arguably in the region. The building cost over USD 3 billion. The beach, the service, and the evening ambience are genuinely exceptional. Afternoon tea (approximately AED 300–450 per person) gives non-guests access to the property.

Al Maryah Island / ADGM

The modern financial and commercial island connected to the main island by bridges. Glass-and-steel towers with upscale dining, a mall, and contemporary hotel design.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi (Luxury, from AED 780/night): Modern glass tower with excellent harbour and city views. The spa and restaurants are among the city’s better options.

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island (Luxury, from AED 1,200/night): The Four Seasons delivers reliable excellence. Good pool, excellent Crust and Bay restaurants on site. Better for business or couples than families.

Yas Island

The purpose-built leisure island 35 km from the city centre with Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, and the Yas Marina Circuit.

Yas Island Rotana (Mid-range, from AED 480/night): Connected by a bridge to the Ferrari World and Yas Mall complex. Pool facilities are good and room sizes are generous.

W Abu Dhabi — Yas Island (Upscale, from AED 750/night): Design-forward hotel straddling the Yas Marina Formula 1 circuit. During race weekend (Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November) this is the best location in the emirate — but book a year in advance for Grand Prix dates.

Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi (Upscale, from AED 680/night): The iconic steel-grid hotel that literally straddles the race circuit. An impressive architectural statement.

Saadiyat Island

The cultural island 20 minutes from the city centre, home to the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the future home of the Guggenheim and Zayed National Museum.

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas (Luxury, from AED 1,000/night): An understated, refined resort with a 1.3 km private beach, several pools, and excellent service. A quieter alternative to the more hotel-dense Corniche.

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort (Luxury, from AED 1,100/night): Generous rooms with private beach access and a 550-metre beachfront. Close to the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Budget Options

Centro Capital Centre by Rotana (Budget, from AED 280/night): Near the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, convenient for anyone attending events. Clean, compact rooms.

Premier Inn Abu Dhabi Capital Centre (Budget, from AED 260/night): Reliable budget chain with consistent standards. Near the airport and exhibition centre.
