Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is a fully indoor theme park on Yas Island, covering over 1.65 million square feet across six distinct themed zones. The Six Themed Zones

Gotham City

The most visually immersive zone in the park, Gotham replicates the dark, gothic architecture of Batman’s city — stone facades, gargoyles, moody lighting, and ornate lampposts that make it feel genuinely cinematic. The headline ride here is Batman: Knight Flight, a suspended roller coaster that tilts riders forward in a near-flying position as it navigates banking turns and inversions through an illuminated cityscape. Height requirement: 122 cm.

The Batmobile: A full-scale replica of the Batmobile is parked in Gotham City and is one of the most photographed spots in the park.

Meet-and-greet: Batman character appearances are scheduled throughout the day in Gotham — times are displayed on the park’s live schedule board at the entrance.

Metropolis

Adjacent to Gotham City, Metropolis shifts from dark and gothic to bright, retro-futurist architecture styled after Superman’s home city. The signature experience is Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis, a large-format immersive ride using a rotating simulator with a 4D cinema screen surrounding the vehicle. The ride combines tilting, rotating motion with coordinated screen effects to simulate a battle alongside Superman.

Justice League: Warworld Attack offers a more accessible experience — a dark ride where riders use blasters to score points against targets across multiple interactive scenes. Suitable for most ages and a good choice for families with mixed age groups.

Cartoon Junction

The Looney Tunes zone, designed for younger visitors, with bright primary colours and exaggerated cartoon architecture inspired by the classic animated series. Rides here are gentle and suitable for children aged 3 and up.

Tweety Wild Escape is a family roller coaster with mild drops and turns — the smallest riders in the group can often fit this one when other coasters are above their height. Bugs Bunny Boogie is a spinning ride that rotates steadily rather than rapidly, staying accessible for those who find intense spinning uncomfortable.

Character meet-and-greet appearances for Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Sylvester run throughout the day in Cartoon Junction. The character appearances are scheduled; arrive 10–15 minutes early for the best spots for photos.

Bedrock

The Flintstones zone recreates the prehistoric town of Bedrock with sandstone buildings, oversized dinosaur sculptures, and warm amber lighting. Pebble Bowling is an interactive bowling experience using Flintstones-themed lanes and equipment, popular with children aged 5 and up.

Fred’s Fly Machine is a gentle spinning ride that gives younger visitors a tamer option while adults wait or join in. Bedrock River Adventure is a slow-moving boat ride through scenes from the cartoon — the closest thing to a classic dark ride in this zone, and a good cooling-off option mid-visit.

Dynamite Gulch

Inspired by the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons, this zone adopts a Wild West desert canyon aesthetic with red rock formations and cacti. Road Runner Rollercoaster is a compact family coaster with quick direction changes that younger riders find genuinely exciting without the intensity of the DC zone coasters. Height requirement: 105 cm.

Wile E.’s Workshop is an interactive play area with climbing structures, slides, and soft-play elements aimed at children under 12. It functions as a natural drop-off point for parents who want to grab a coffee while children burn energy.

Warner Bros. Plaza

The central hub zone that all other areas branch from. The Plaza replicates a classic Hollywood studio backlot with a large central fountain, studios-era signage, and a performance stage. Live shows — musical numbers, character parades, stunt demonstrations — run from the Plaza stage on a rotating schedule. The full day show schedule is posted at the park entrance and available on the Yas Island app.

WB Studios Store is located in the Plaza and is the largest merchandise outlet in the park. Expect themed clothing, character plush toys, DC merchandise, and Looney Tunes gifts. Prices are in line with theme park retail globally — approximately AED 50–200 for most items.

Dining at Warner Bros. World

Stargazer’s is the park’s main table-service restaurant, located in Metropolis zone. The menu runs American casual: burgers, chicken, pasta, salads, with dedicated kids’ meals. Mains cost approximately AED 75–140 per person as of 2026. Accepts walk-ins; expect a short wait at midday on busy days.

Toon Café in Cartoon Junction offers quick-service sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, and milkshakes. Seating is themed with Looney Tunes artwork throughout. Good for a casual mid-morning snack or quick lunch without leaving the zone where you’re spending time.

Bronto Burgers & Ribs in the Bedrock zone serves themed quick-service food with the park’s most distinctive presentation — food and drinks arrive in Flintstones-branded oversized vessels. Prices are similar to Toon Café. Popular with families and typically busier at lunch than other food outlets.

Gotham Café near the Batman: Knight Flight exit serves coffee, pastries, and light snacks. Useful for a quick stop before or after the main DC rides without navigating back to the Plaza.

Budget approximately AED 80–120 per person for a quick-service meal and a drink. All outlets accept card payment; cash is not required anywhere in the park.

Getting There

From Dubai

By car or taxi: Approximately 1 hour via the E11 (Sheikh Zayed Road) toward Abu Dhabi, then Yas Island exits. Taxis cost approximately AED 150–200 one way. Careem and Uber both operate this route.

By bus: No direct bus from Dubai. The E101 public bus from Union Square to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station (approximately AED 25, around 2 hours) connects to local taxis to Yas Island (approximately AED 30–40 from the bus station). Not recommended for a single-day trip with young children due to transit time.

From Abu Dhabi City Centre

By taxi: Approximately 25–30 minutes from central Abu Dhabi, approximately AED 50–70. Yas Island is well signed from the main Abu Dhabi road network.

By Yas Express: The free park-to-park shuttle connects Warner Bros. World, Ferrari World, and Yas Waterworld. The Yas Express (a fee-charging network shuttle) also runs to and from the Abu Dhabi public bus network. Check current schedules at the park entrance or via the Yas Island app.

By car: Parking at Yas Island is free. The car park adjacent to Warner Bros. World is large; finding a space on most weekday visits takes only a few minutes.

Best Time to Visit

November to March offers the most comfortable weather. Temperatures between 18–26°C mean the walk between outdoor parking and the park entrance is pleasant rather than a test of endurance. This period overlaps with the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix (typically December) when Yas Island is at its most crowded — if possible, avoid visiting on F1 race weekend itself.

April to October: The park is entirely air-conditioned, so heat is a non-issue once inside. The walk from the car park to the entrance is short enough that summer visits are manageable, though the midday car park surface does retain heat significantly.

Weekday mornings consistently produce the shortest queues. Arriving at opening (11:00) and going directly to Batman: Knight Flight before the crowd builds means riding with waits under 10–15 minutes on a typical weekday, versus 45+ minutes in peak afternoon hours.

Practical Tips

Character schedules: Download the Yas Island app before visiting. It lists live show times and character meet-and-greet schedules in real time. If seeing a specific character (Batman, Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny) is important to a child in your group, planning the visit sequence around the schedule significantly reduces disappointment.

Height requirements vary by zone: DC zone rides (Batman: Knight Flight, Superman 360) have stricter minimums (120–122 cm). Bedrock and Cartoon Junction rides are largely accessible from 90–105 cm. Check the specific requirements before visiting with children who may be borderline.

Strollers: Strollers are permitted throughout most of the park. Stroller parking areas are marked at ride entrances where they cannot be taken through boarding queues.

Photography: Personal photography is unrestricted. The park has a number of good lighting setups in Gotham City and the Warner Bros. Plaza that photograph well — arrive early if you want shots of the Batmobile without other visitors in frame.

Combining with Ferrari World: Both parks are on Yas Island, a short walk or shuttle ride apart. Single-day tickets for both are approximately AED 650–670 combined.
