Running through late August, DSS is one of the longest-running events on Dubai’s calendar and is specifically designed to give visitors and residents a reason to be in the city during the hottest weeks of the year.

The programme operates across several strands. Summer is not the obvious choice for first-time visitors — July averages 38–42°C outdoors and humidity is at its peak — but for visitors focused on indoor attractions, shopping, and nightlife, the season has genuine advantages.
